This wine was inspired by Benish Fried AH. These Merlot grapes were grown on the Samra Ranch in Lodi, California and fermented right here, in Brooklyn, NY. This vineyard sits in the heart of the Clarksburg AVA. This growing region has dense clay and loam soil with some peat dirt. Cool breezes from the San Francisco bay and Sacramento river create a maritime climate.
Wines from this vineyard are very fruity and hints of Black Cherry, Raspberry and Plum come across the palate very pleasantly. A medium tannin wine with low acidity allow for a soft finish.
Pairs very well with chicken and turkey seasoned with lots of herbs, it also compliments beef stew as well.
